Ingredients

Scale

For the dip

  • 8 oz cream cheese (softened)

  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise

  • 1/4 cup sour cream

  • 1/4 cup olive juice (from jarred olives)

  • 1/2 cup green olives, finely chopped (reserve a few whole olives for garnish)

  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

  • Salt and pepper to taste

For garnish (optional)

  • Chopped green olives

  • Fresh parsley or chives (optional, for color)

  • A drizzle of olive oil (optional, for extra richness)

For serving

  • Pita chips, crackers, or crostini

  • Fresh vegetable sticks like cucumber, carrots, and celery

Instructions

  • Prepare the base

    • In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, mayonnaise, and sour cream. Use a hand mixer or whisk to blend the ingredients together until smooth and creamy.

  • Add the olive juice and seasoning

    • Stir in the olive juice, garlic powder, and lemon juice. Season with salt and pepper to taste. If you like a more tangy flavor, you can add extra olive juice.

  • Mix in the olives

    • Finely chop the green olives and fold them into the creamy mixture. Make sure the olives are evenly distributed throughout the dip. You can leave a few whole olives to garnish the dip at the end.

  • Chill the dip

    • Cover the dip with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to let the flavors meld together. If you’re in a rush, you can serve it right away, but chilling it enhances the flavor.

  • Garnish and serve

    • Before serving, garnish the dip with chopped olives and a sprinkle of fresh parsley or chives for a pop of color. Serve with pita chips, crackers, or fresh vegetable sticks for dipping.
